When Can I Shower After My Spray Tan?

Depending on the solution selected for you, that could be a few hours after your spray tan or the following morning.
We offer both rapid developing and traditional developing spray tan solutions.
With a rapid solution, your recommended rinse time may be approximately 2 to 6 hours after your appointment. Traditional formulas may develop for approximately 8 to 12 hours and can often be worn overnight.
Even clients using the same type of solution may receive different rinse instructions. Someone looking for a subtle glow may rinse sooner, while a client wanting deeper color may be instructed to develop longer.

What Happens During My First Shower?
First, don’t panic when you see bronze color going down the drain.
For formulas that contain a cosmetic bronzer, much of the immediate color you see after your appointment is a temporary guide color. Your first rinse removes that bronzer, but it does not mean you’re washing away your spray tan.
The DHA in your tanning solution continues developing after your initial rinse, so your color may look lighter immediately after showering and deepen over the following hours.
